Professional Supervision

I enjoy supervising a *range of professionals, assisting them to achieve their strategic,

operational, people relationship and wellbeing priorities, whilst strengthening

reflective practices, emotional intelligence and sustaining self-care at work.

*Professional Supervision provides an opportunity for those in

management and leadership roles to reflect on the above.

Supervision benefits the individual and the rest of the team who can notice the positive

effects of this type of coaching. When a manager has regular supervision, and leads

by example, there are usually healthier dynamics, resulting in less staff turnover from stress,

more effective team practices, less conflict and more cohesive, productive teamwork.

*Clinical or Ministry Supervision can assist the individual to review their work with a trusted, therapeutically skilled and independent practitioner. Supervision can provide

fresh eyes on old problems and help work through dilemmas and safety challenges

in accordance with your Codes of Ethics, policies and procedures

Supervision can enable you to:

  • Enable improved reflective practice, emotional intelligence and spiritual awareness

  • Explore your intuition and ideas - the new, bold or simply as yet undeveloped

  • Receive feedback and guidance about decisions and work that may be of concern

  • Acknowledge and handle workplace feelings of frustration, failure and success

  • Develop professional skills and practices to enhance role effectiveness

  • Recognise and manage parallel processing, transference or counter-transference healthily

  • Brainstorm strategies for handling difficult staff, risky client situations, conflicts or crises

  • Maintain holistic wellbeing through proactive self-care and professional development plans

*Please specify if you are a therapist, minister, business, education, health or social services leader when you book an initial Supervision appointment.

"his skillset, experience and calm, pragmatic approach were a great fit for me."

“I am the Manager and Clinical Team Lead for a small not for profit organisation that works in the mental health and addiction sector. The type of issues I would bring to supervision were not only related to my work with clients, but also included the ongoing pressures of managing a staff team and carrying the vision and strategic planning  for our organisation.

Daryl was my supervisor for a few years and during this time I really valued the fact that he was able to offer value in all these spaces for me. He supported me in issues related to reflective, safe and ethical practice with my clients, and the oversight of the team that I have responsibility for, along with practical problem solving, brain-storming and strategic thinking regarding my management roles.

I have no hesitation in recommending Daryl as Supervisor – his skillset, experience and calm pragmatic approach were a great fit for me and I’m sure offer a great deal of value for others.”

"his support, encouragement and reflective practice was invaluable to me."

"I am pleased to recommend Daryl as an excellent supervisor and counsellor. As a Senior Pastor, I found myself facing significant challenges, and sadness, over a four year period when Daryl was my supervisor. His real life experience in pastoral care, and as someone who had also journeyed through significant loss, meant that his support, encouragement and reflective practice was invaluable to me.

I recall facing a sudden and unexpected personal challenge, and it completely rocked my world. Contacting Daryl for urgent debriefing and support, he made himself available and was incredibly supportive as we faced the realities, and found hope and perseverance to make wise decisions and courage in the journey.

I always found our appointments helpful, and am sure others will benefit from his experience and training in their ministry roles also.”

"so valuable to me in my growth as a person and in my growth as a leader..."

"I work as a Regional Manager of Reintegration Services and received supervision from Daryl for a number of years as I transitioned through several roles within the organization I work for.

Key components were ensuring I was sticking to my work to home balance plan, looking after my personal wellbeing, ensuring my working day was structured to cope with the demands of the role, giving me the tools to work out solutions for myself.

Empowering me to be the best that I can be, and to challenge the workload being placed upon me if unreasonable.  Daryl's supervision sessions have been so valuable to me in my growth as a person and in my growth as a leader in our organization. ”
